[A wry grin.] Suppose I should be glad I missed him, otherwise I have a feeling he would have dragged me off to help. [Regardless of actually needing help. A lackey to do things for him was always...wordlessly appreciated.]

Depended on what they had planned for us... Sometimes it could be upwards to three in the morning; on more relaxed days it could be five.

[Well, he's not wrong about that. She can easily see Han trying to drag Finn off to help even today if he were around. She smiles, just slightly, shaking her head.]

Han doesn't ever make you get up that early, does he?

[A shrug and a fond grin.] Every once in a while, but not as often as they used to for sure.

Were there any shops in particular you wanted to hit up today? [Finn doesn't mind being the bag carrier. Compared to other jobs it could be worse!]

[Well that's a relief to hear, not that she thinks she can or should tell Han to ease back on his own business. But it's good that he's not being as strict as he could be.]

I have a few things I needed to pick up, but I think before anything, we should find something to eat first. I'll let you pick.

[Definitely much more lenient than any of his former teachers.]

Me? [Finn perks a bit, thinking.] I don't know, I mean most of the time I just eat leftovers out of the cold box for breakfast. And most places I go out to are sandwich shops. [Scratching at his chin.] What would you recommend?

[Look, Leia's eating habits aren't much better, but she's not about to admit that herself. And besides, she holds herself and those she cares about to different standards when it comes to not stretching one's self too thin and taking care of one's own needs. So Finn saying that's about all he eats is a bit shocking to Leia, and she blinks, raising her eyebrows in surprise.]

Sandwich shops are nice, but I think we ought to skip that if that's mostly what you eat. Have you had crepes before?

[No one in the house can cook. Sob. Jane left before she could do much for them.]

Crepes? [The look on his face and his question are answer enough, honestly.] Can't say it was on the menu in training.

[In other cases, Leia would find that response upsetting. But for today, she's shoving that feeling aside, and instead focusing on it being perfect for what they have planned today. If she can help Finn try something new, all the better. Her expression brightens, eager to get going now.]

I think you'll like them. You can get them sweet or savory.

[They need help. Help them, mama Leia.

Eyebrow raise. But hey, she's happy about this news, so let's go with it.]

Sounds like it's stop number one on our list.

[She will save all these poor future children. They're all Organa-Solos now.]

Unless you want to try doing everything else on an empty stomach. I can't say I'd like to do that, though.

[Sweet!!!]

Can't say doing anything on an empty stomach is my ideal way to go about the day. [He rubs the back of his head.] Shall we go? [He opens the door for her.]

[Leia nods, heading through the open door, locking it behind her once they're both out. The crepe shop truly isn't far off from their house--it's a place Leia's visited often with friends and even stops by herself to get an occasional carry out lunch.

So when they finally arrive, Leia and Finn are greeted with a polite smile and told to sit wherever they'd like. And that's exactly what Leia does. Sorry Finn, she's taking the lead here.]

Truthfully, I prefer the sweet crepes to any of the savory ones.

[He's distracted at first by the sort of Parisian decor—it's mandatory for a crepe restaurant, okay? But at her statement he glances at the menu and his eyes flick between the two pages.]

So then something like this? [Pointing at a fruit salsa crepe.] Not sure what a salsa is though.

[Leia looks down at the menu, following to the particular flavor Finn pointed out.]

It's a sauce, I think. It sounds like it's a bunch of different fruits together.

Is it something you think would be good to try? Or do you have something else you'd recommend? [He doesn't wanna pick wrong and go hungry. Though he know if he let it slip that he didn't like it and was still hungry, she'd insist they'd stop somewhere else.]

I think we can pick a few different flavors to try.

[It's no big deal to Leia; she's sure they can finish the food.]

Let's try that one, a chocolate crepe, and a different berry flavor. What do you think?
